PURPOSE

This family-based religious education program involves integrating the whole family into the faith learning process, both formally with textbooks and in all areas of family life. Parents assume the role of catechist, in line with the church´s teaching that “parents are the primary teachers of religion to their children.” Families are asked to create a sacred prayer space in their home, and be diligent in the practices of family prayer, shared mealtimes and worship at mass as a family. The participating families meet four times for seasonal activity and group faith sharing.

MEETINGS

The Home Study program will meet on the following SECOND Wednesdays, beginning at 7:00 p.m. each evening in the Fellowship Hall: October 22, December 17, February 18, March 18, and April 8.
