Peer Minister Application

Welcome to the Peer Minister side of Mini Camp!! We are looking for a group of 18 Peer Ministers and 2 Head Peer Ministers, to create our Surrounded Mini Camp Peer Ministry Team of 2024. Below you will find our Application to be on the team, and once your application has been received and you have been chosen to be on the team, you will receive the link and password to register as a Peer Minister for Mini Camp 2024: Surrounded.

Requirements and Roles of our Peer Ministry Team of 2024:

  • Entering 9th through 12th grade in the Fall of 2024.
  • Attend our three(3) 1-hour sessions this Summer in order to prepare for all the role entails including leading small group Bible studies, prayer, games, skit creation and practice. (Dates and times TBD depending on the team’s availability.)
  • As a team, prepare a 5-7 minute skit/play within the theme of that day’s Bible study telling a story throughout the four days that include Bible Studies. This must be well prepared and practiced before the beginning of Mini Camp. This is taking the space of Proclaims so instead of having one person give a talk, the team will be in charge of sharing the message that day before going into small groups.
  • Help out with both preparation and clean up time during the week of Mini Camp and before the week of Mini Camp as well.
  • Be trained through Worthy of the Call prior to working with the Middle Schoolers.
  • Commit to serving the full week of Mini Camp where you set a positive, uplifting, and kind example to all attending campers throughout the entire week. They look up to you, so be a good role model!

Head Peer Minister Requirements and Additional Roles:

  • Have been a Peer Minister in the past.
  • Set a positive, uplifting, and kind example of servant leadership for the other Peer Ministers on the Team.
  • Meet with Sydney as a team to help plan out all that Mini Camp has to offer, including the Escape Room, our Service Day, and be in charge of the skits of the week.
  • Be the behind the scenes team during the week of Mini Camp, which means not leading a small group but being able to step in as needed. For example, helping set up and tear down games, providing energy and excitement around the Bible Studies and trips we take, and filling in as extra hands as needed.
