YOUNG ADULT MINISTRY
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
(1 Timothy 4:12-16)
The Young Adult Ministry at St. Michael’s is designed for 18-35 year old’s and is open to the churched and unchurched. The program aims to accompany adults whether they are college-age, working, or with families.
Weekly
Liturgy of the Hours led by our very own Pat Campbell is every week from Monday – Thursday on the Parish YouTube page. This is a way to stay connected to parish life whether you are away at college, busy during the week, or want to teach your young kids how to pray.
Monthly
Mass & Brunch: After mass every 4th Sunday – starting October 24th! We will be eating as a group after the 10:30 am mass at Cornerstone Breakfast (in the parish gym). Please meet me in the narthex and we will go to the gym together.
Eucharistic Adoration is held at the parish every first Friday of the month. Please sign up when the parish emails you.
Coming up is a Millenial social series – TBD.
Seasonal Events
To celebrate Advent, we will have a movie marathon in the youth room on December 22, 2021. After attending the 5:00 pm Mass together, we will watch three Classic 00’s movies! Potential movies include Wedding Crashers, Slumdog Millionaire, Avatar, the City of God, Precious, and Bring it On. We will have popcorn, candy, drinks, and pizza.
In preparation for Easter, we will do a 7-week series discussing ‘Broken & Blessed: An Invitation to my Generation’ by Fr. Josh Johnson. This will be from February 27-April 10, 2022. Currently need a Young Adult to lead the discussion.
Over the summer, we will have three events. One in June 2022 – breakfast and a hike, July 2022 – visit to Our Lady’s Grotto in Emmitsburg and August 2022 – service at Our Daily Bread in Baltimore. To RSVP for any of these events, click here.
